Hi all,

Do we still think this watch is potentially a good buy? It’s so elegant and classy but:

  1. Is it really worth the price tag vs comparable pieces in this range?
  2. What kind of AD discount can one expect?

Also potentially thinking about the moonphase variant here.

    Wonderful watches, love the moon phase in particular but QC can be suspect from “the grand Maison”. Also, richemont’s out of control pricing has started to hit JLC particularly hard in the last three years. No longer are they the bargains they once were, fortunately (or unfortunately) they don’t retain value in terms of residuals.

    It will not appreciate in price. After JLCs 30-40% hike in past two years, the retail price is inflated and you can get cheaper unworn grey, good 20% off retail. Would love to hear if, geo and how much a discount ADs give these days. I’d expect 10-15% and likely will be in market for very much this (or gold version) in 2024 myself.
