I’ve never seen a watch with either of those movements that was interesting to me.
I’d much rather have a Citizen E210, which has the 12 hour totalizer, a 12 hour alarm, and solar power to boot. Love my 2100.
I’m familiar with the Citizen E210 but it’s too dang big and busy! I do appreciate its 12-hour totalizer, though.
What’s your favorite VK63/VK67 design?
The totalizer is awesome. I almost never time stuff shorter than an hour. Only upside with the 24 hour hand is it’s IMO easier to use that than a 12 hour hand for determining direction (by the sun). But as a 12-hour chronograph user, even I don’t check my heading via my watch all that often, lol.
Definitely the SZSJ005!
It is pretty! Love a good panda/reverse panda.
If it ain’t the fucking chrono circle jerking subdial totalizer guy lmfao
Great, it’s this guy again.
He does this often?
It’s because the horizontal alignment of subdial makes for more esthetically pleasing designs.
Bro, you could just rotate the VK67 movement and make it a bullhead.
You can also just use a VK63, which is the same thing, but already oriented horizontally. Why bother modifying something else when the thing already exists?
Bro, are you paid for this?
my r/hailcorporate senses are tingling
Totally agree! Unless you live in a bunker the 24hr indicator is useless!
u/CA53W, you’ve been posting in this sub for a while, calling everyone bro and starting most of your (rather pretentious) opinion pieces with “Watchers”, while ignoring any of the feedback you’ve gotten, despite getting a consistent flow of negative reactions.
What’s the endgame here?
Absolutely a troll account, Id give it 3/10 at best. A month ago, posted about the Bulova Chrono saying he can’t afford a speedy yet. Except 4 months prior, posted he had just purchased a moon watch to celebrate his kids 10th bday. A much less interesting Claude Mariposa. No way this is written in earnest by a human: “we swapped numbers and decided to meet up later for some Netflix & Chill time, where we could enjoy each other’s company and, of course, admire my Casio Duro.”
Incredibly high effort troll tho
No doubt. Juice isn’t worth the squeeze tho.
I don’t like chronos to me personally they provide no utility so I wouldn’t chose them even if more widely used
Brands don’t use the VK67 much because the subdial arrangement isn’t fashionable right now. That’s why they use the VK63.
Apparently, they can run into issues such as the chrono hands falling out of alignment during routine battery changes and are a pain in the ass to fix. I’d rather just wear a regular quartz chrono to avoid that risk, losing the low-maintenance nature of quartz isn’t worth have a hand that ticks multiple times a second.
