I asked my parents what they thought and they said it seemed a little too formal/“dressy” considering I usually wear sweatpants, idk though.

Sometimes you wear shoes to a sneaker party. Your shoes may seem formal in that instance. But otherwise not too formal at all.

Depends entirely on the rest of the outfit and the location. Too formal for the gym or the beach? Yes. Too formal for a grocery run in jeans and a sweater? No.

Rubber sole chukkas are not a dress shoe but would probably look out of place with sweatpants. They go great with jeans, and can pass for office casual.

How old are you? That matters too.

They might look “too formal” for a young teen.

For anyone over the age of 20? Hell no.

    They would look casual. Informal.

    Nothing out of the ordinary.
