So lately with my makeup while I’m at work, I’ve noticed that I have bumps on my forehead and throughout my face throughout the day. I only really see this when I have makeup that my skin is very bumpy. I also tend to break out a bit after I wear makeup sometimes. I thought it was from how I remove it but I’ve tried different ways and I seem to get the same result. I’ve tried makeup wipes and wiping with water on a wash cloth and recently been looking into trying to remove with micellar water

I’ve been using the maybelline fit me matte and poreless foundation for a few months now along with the maybelline age rewind concealer (I’ve used the concealer for years). I thought it was how my skin was so I bought an elf primer to try and I noticed the issue is still there, so I now think it might be the foundation.

I thought about switching to a different foundation brand to see if that helps but I also wanted to ask if maybe there’s something else I could try or consider. Thought who trying NARS even though that brand is pricey or maybe another drug store brand

I would try using Paula’s choice BHA liquid exfoliant. It helps get rid of bumps and texture in my skin, reduced the viable pores on my face etc. You apply it at night with your hands or with a cotton pad and make sure you use a moisturizer after. I think it may help. You can get a small size at Sephora to try

If you were to choose one time of day to wash your face, it’s at night. It sounds like you’re attempting to take your make up off at night, but not actually washing it. If you do a thorough cleanse at night, you don’t need to do more than just splash water on your face in the AM if you like.

Double cleanse every night to remove makeup (ponds + face wash)

    Chemically exfoliate once weekly

Maybelline always made me break out. My sensitive skin only tolerates a few brands of foundation. Clinique is what I wore for years. Just their cc cream. Foundation was too thick

I’d say try ditching the wipes for a couple weeks to see if that helps
