Hi guys! Im new to makeup and I’ve been wanting to find a makeup style or eyeliner style that would help cover up my downturned eyes and make them look more straight and even? Any advice is appreciated ☺️💗

Hooded, downturned eyes here! I tightline my upper lash line with black or brown, sometimes a little liner above my lash line but not all the way to the end of my lashes, I stop where my eyes start to turn down. I do wing. I know some people with downturned eyes make it look great, but I’ve never had the knack for it.

For eyeshadow, I do a darker shade towards the outer corner of my eye, but lift it away from my eye and towards my brow bone to help draw the eye up. Then a lighter or shimmery color on the lid only towards the inner corner of my eye.

A nice coating of mascara (if your mascara tends to run/smudge downwards because of how your eye is shaped, try a tubing mascara like Blinc) is personal preference but I feel like it helps lift my eye, especially if I focus on the outermost lashes. You can also curl your lashes if that is something you like to do.

Lastly if you use concealer, I do a bright/lighter concealer on the outer corner of my eye and blend it up towards my brow as well, which helps to lift.

I don’t have a picture handy but will try to remember to take one when I next wear makeup.

    I hope this helps!

If you want to try winged liquid eyeliner, but your eyes fold too much to get a nice looking line going from the top, try a line going diagonally up from underneath your eye. It takes practice, but I found s way to make it look nice over the wrinkled mess of trying to do cat eyes in my upper lid corners.
