So I never was professionally typed, but many people in my life told me that I have a cool undertone, I also feel the most comfortable and confident in cool colors. I am also quite pale (I got a foundation from MAC which the MUA helped me to select and it‘s the studio radiance face and body sheer foundation C0), I burn easily and have blue eyes and dark blonde hair.

Now to my question, many nude lipsticks look almost sickly grey on me, one that really makes me sad is the mac velvet teddy which looks like a dark brown grey on me. What am I doing wrong? Is it because the lipsrick has warm undertones? Also which lipsticks might work better?

Thanks so much!

I would say look for more pinkish-reddish shades. I also can’t wear most nudes, they look super dark on me and wash me out. Peach shades might help as well.

If not nude, look for coral shades, reds, even correct orange might work.

I‘ll try to swatch some at a department store where the SA can directly apply them to the lips, I always steered clear from warm reds and oranges but it‘s worth a try! Thanks
