So I never was professionally typed, but many people in my life told me that I have a cool undertone, I also feel the most comfortable and confident in cool colors. I am also quite pale (I got a foundation from MAC which the MUA helped me to select and it‘s the studio radiance face and body sheer foundation C0), I burn easily and have blue eyes and dark blonde hair.

Now to my question, many nude lipsticks look almost sickly grey on me, one that really makes me sad is the mac velvet teddy which looks like a dark brown grey on me. What am I doing wrong? Is it because the lipsrick has warm undertones? Also which lipsticks might work better?

Thanks so much!

Esthetician here. This is happening because of the contrast between your lipstick and skin causes the lipstick to look more grey. You are likely actually neutral or even warm toned in your skin, so you should be wearing warm toned lipstick. A more warm toned version of velvet teddy would be "staunch’ by Anastasia.
