I’ve had an Ipsy subscription since this summer and I honestly think it’s the best thing i’ve ever spent money on and I am very happy to continue giving my money to them.

I don’t even use it for the subscription (I just have the sample size glam bag subscription), I use it for the online shop! The deals you can get on really quality stuff is genuinely unbelievable to me. I always wonder if it’s too good to be true??

I got a full size DE Polypeptide Serum for $17…which I’m pretty sure is like $68 IRL? I don’t even use DE products because of the price, but I saw that and was like um, fuck yeah I’m gonna get that. I got a full sized BTS mascara for like $14, full size bareMinerals power for $20, full size OneSize concealer for $13 and blush for $13. (these prices are rough estimates but you get the point).

I honestly order way too much stuff almost weekly off that Ipsy shop but it feels genuinely dumb not to. Sure some aspects of the shop aren’t perfect, like forget trying to guess what shade a foundation is. and you do have to hunt for the good stuff. but as far as I’ve seen, the pros outweigh the cons. Is there something i’m not seeing? Are the products expired? I don’t get it!

    I’m pretty on off with Ipsy but I’ve never had a terrible bag/box. My last few boxycharm boxes have been awesome. Some people seem to have pretty rough luck with it and I’m sure at some point my luck will run out but so far so good 🤷‍♀️

    I heard that the items in boxycharm are not made at the same labs as the items sold from the actual brands. Sometimes the ingredients are changed as well. After hearing this I unsubscribed. Things could have changed though as this was years ago

    I’ve used just about every beauty subscription service at some point. Ipsy is the only one that I will reorder sometimes. It’s really a hit or miss. I’ve gotten some products that I really like and end up being a good value. A lot of times I get a bunch of repeats of the same products, which isn’t bad if they’re a product I like but they aren’t always one I like. I got multiple of a foundation one time that was basically a full sized foundation - but it sucked!!! I will subscribe for maybe 6 months at a time every now and then. I end up with too much crap that isn’t getting used and cancel it. It’s just fun to try new stuff sometimes. I do keep most of the bags. I think they’re helpful to have around for traveling or just to throw a few things in and throw in a purse.
