J1s are my favorite silhouette. I understand they’re not everyone’s cup of tea, but as you can see, I absolutely adore them.
I’m still on the hunt for several pairs I missed out on, such as the OW Chicago, 2015 Chicago, L&Fs, Breds, OG Royal, Mocha, LA to Chicago, UNC, Unions Black & Blue toe, and Travis Mocha & Fragment.
The Off-Whites are laced with replacement laces, but I also have the originals. I’m aware that the lettering and placement are off.
Are the ofw uncs real?
Yes they are. I do have some shitty replacement laces on them (I have the OG stashed in the box).

I notice that you don’t have the og royal material, but do own the “reimagined” pair. You trying to add the OGs, or is the new pair fine enough?
Oh, I’m definitely adding the OG. I believe I mentioned it in my caption.
The new material is fine as they don’t normally crease like leather pairs do. However, creases overall don’t bother me as I find the beauty of them as part of the aging process.
The only worry I have with the nubuck/suede material is staining from oil-based products. Otherwise I love that pair.

Where did you get the OW UNCs from?
I got it VNDS from a reseller here. It’s my most expensive pair, and I don’t think I’ll ever go over budget like that again, unless I stumble on the OW Chicago with an unbelievable price.
I want the 85 Chicagos as a museum piece, but that is my ultimate personal grail.
I ask because the heel cup shape doesn’t look like the typical retail pair I’ve seen. Have you had them legit checked? Heel cup texture, tongue thickness and length, and size tag are often most helpful. Just want to make sure someone didn’t scam you out of your money
+1 for white laces on the UNC toe. It’s by far the best looking one but too many people stick with black or blue
How do you rate the unions amongst all these
I actually love that pair. If I had to assign a number out of 10 where 10 is my best pair, it would be a 6/10. The lowest rating I’d give any of those is a 3, which probably goes to the Satin Breds due to the materials and wearability (one giant major crease on toebox).
Overall, I rotate through all of these pairs in my daily wardrobe.
