Hi good people,
I’m looking at my next watch purchase and I’m looking at 3 very different watches, all of them I love but I’m not sure which one to go for now (all around 2.5k-3k). I’ll do second hand.
The watches are:
- IWC Mark XVIII
- Tudor Black Bay 58 Blue
- Cartier Tank Solo / Tank Must new
Facts about me:
- current collection, rolex date 15200 white dial, omega speedmaster reduced, longines conquest heritage, hamilton mil-w-46374b and gshock dw5600.
- working at a top luxury brand hq
- small wrist size (can’t really pull bigger than 41-42mm)
Seems like a dress watch would fill a need. I say Cartier

They are all nice watches. I have the bb58 gild and tank must large. I like the iwc but their value for money in my opinion isn’t the best considering their movement. The pilot is an everyday beater, sporty and robust. The tank is a dress watch and more like jewelry. I advise you to get it on a bracelet though and switch for a strap if you want. So it’s up to personal preference and style.
I’d you got for the tank, I’d say must over solo everyday. It’s just much better fitting.
IWC
1 vote for Tudor.
Tough choices. In order for me

I like the IWC the most but I’m a big guy. They look silly on smaller wrists. The Cartier is probably your watch. Enjoy it for me because I look silly wearing a Tank.
Pilot / Dive / Dress… pick the one you think you’ll wear the most.
