I know it’s shallow, but I’m so put off by Huda’s ugly palettes that I won’t try them. I think they’re so ugly that they distort the colors of the actual eyeshadows to the point of repulsiveness.
I have similar though not as strong feelings about Natasha Denona.
Yeah I don’t understand why huda makes some of her eyeshadows look completely different in the pan than they actually look outside of the pan. It’s so hard to know what her color stories actually are for many palettes because she has so many weird distorted shades
I got a sample of Tower 28’s mascara and it’s actually pretty amazing for my stubby lashes, I was shocked. Their SOS spray is just overpriced hypochlorous acid spray you can get at any drugstore though.
I feel like Huda Beauty is a relic of the 2016 makeup era. Way too garish for current trends but that’s just me
😂 MAC long predates the 2016 era, and it will outlast it by a long margin too.
im curious why you dont like NYX! thats one of my absolute favorite brands, especially for eyeliner! ive noticed their eyeshadows tend to be very dry and powdery but thats about it
Agreed re NYX. Like 6 or 7 years ago every guru and blogger was constantly suggesting NYX products and I fell for it every time. Oh the lip lingerie things are great? I’ll buy 6 colors that all smear across my face and crust up my lips. Oh, we’ll the concealer is the jam? Okay, I’ll watch 30 videos telling me different ways to use it, none of which work. Oh the eyebrow pencil is a perfect dupe for the Brow Wiz? No ma’am it is not at all and how dare you suggest it.
I’m willing to concede that their products just don’t work for me personally, but every single product that was raved about was an absolute dud for me.
