Mine have to be Tarte and Elf

Tarte just didn’t work out for me I used to love Elf, but recently it’s just not been that great.

    Mac. Everyone was raving about their lipsticks, and when I finally tried one (it was ruby woo), I was so unimpressed, that it kind of “downgraded” the whole brand for me. Then I tried another formula (cremesheen, shade modesty), and while it was better, I still didn’t think it was worth the price tag. Then I went into their store once to get shade matched, and the quasi makeup expert / SA was obnoxious and unskilled. I guess I was just unlucky… All in all, I don’t even blink when people are raving about mac anymore. Even more so now, that I know a thing or two about Estee Lauder, Ronald and his involvement with the genocide. That conglomerate isn’t getting anything from me anymore.

      I haven’t seen MAC hyped as much as it used to but in early 2000s every one I knew would go buy 50 dollars in product and get their makeup done for school dances and then hit the beauty school for hair 🤣

      aw this makes me sad. mac has so many formulations and options that i really do feel like they have something for everyone’s needs, but i hate that you got an artist that didn’t help you find what works for your needs/wants

      YMMV but I feel mac is the one brand that you can blindly go and buy anything from and it’ll be good quality.

      Like if I lose my entire makeup collection and get to redo it for free but only one brand I’ll probably go to mac!

      Awful and terrible they test on animals though - I’m not buying more from them until that changes
