I was putting on my foundation today and I remembered a tip from CosmoGirl (was Cosmo for teens, doesn’t exist anymore) magazine circa 2003ish: just don’t put foundation on your forehead, to avoid a “mask like look”. Do the whole rest of your face, and not the forehead. And the foundation they had as an example was full coverage.
What are your examples of wacky makeup tips (including real retro ones!)
I learned about “mink lashes” when I was a consultant for an unnamed cosmetic company. Use brown mascara over the whole lash, then go back and do just the tips with black. The contrast creates the illusion of extra length. (Actually, it was a ruse to sell two mascaras, rather than just one!)
