I was putting on my foundation today and I remembered a tip from CosmoGirl (was Cosmo for teens, doesn’t exist anymore) magazine circa 2003ish: just don’t put foundation on your forehead, to avoid a “mask like look”. Do the whole rest of your face, and not the forehead. And the foundation they had as an example was full coverage.

What are your examples of wacky makeup tips (including real retro ones!)

In HS in the late 70s. Nobody in my neck of the woods dared to have natural brows. They were plucked into the thinnest of lines. A flip through my yearbook is page after page of girls with feathered hair and skinny brows.
