Just had my first baby boy and have some watches I’d like to stay in the family after I’m gone. If I have another child, how would I fairly pass on each piece? Do I let them take turns choosing with the first pick going to winner of rock paper scissors best of 3?

the best way to control your children after you die is through a trust. if you don’t put assets in trust, then there is no guarantee that they won’t sell it immediately and take the cash to give to their spouse.

You’ll see an identification post on reddit about how a relative has passed and help is needed to authenticate and value some cheap watches in badly worn out condition.
My final act before dying will be to replace all my watches with horrible replicas. Then I’ll leave a note to the inheritors to inquire about the value of each watch on reddit.
