Matchy matchy was a thing some years back but not so much these days. Remember when people would show off a t-shirt and a snapback that matched their shoes colours? Haven’t seen that in a long time.

Depends on the colors. If you’re talking neutrals like brown it’s fine but if it’s a statement color like the Chicago 1s you want contrast
