Title says it all. I’m seriously considering getting a 556 with the black mother of pearl dial as my normal wear watch (even I concede it will never be my ONLY watch, but maybe my USUAL watch).

From what I can see, it seems like a gada watch. You could dress it up for suit service, but you could equally take it swimming at the beach. It’s well built and gorgeous and not too expensive. Or so I think.

Tell me it’s not fancy enough to dress up with a suit. Tell me it’s poorly built or has QC issues. Tell me the dial is ugly. PLEASE, help me avoid this. I guess you could say get the regular black 556 instead but that doesn’t help much.

      8 months ago I was agonising between this and a nomos as my first expensive watch.

      Knowing this, I’m glad I went nomos.

    Go for it. It’s a beautiful watch and Sinn offers amazing quality for the price. It offers a solid movement that’s very well regulated and utilitarian finishing that’s executed about as well as it gets.

    You’re gonna have to buy it once it gets into your head, I’m sorry. It was the same when I bought my 104 MG.

    Honestly I have nothing bad to say about this watch.

    The colour of the pearl doesn’t look feminine; it is very well built; it doesn’t have a date which looks so much better than the regular 556; the movement is well finished, the size is perfect at 39mm and the price is unbeatable.

    I would definitely go for the 556a rs or 556i rs instead. The mop is too bling a daily. Deep matte black is more like it. Add a little pop of red and it’s done.

    DON’T! You need to get off Reddit bc the Sinn circlejerking here is ridiculous. Bland, brute, and straight ugly watches. Even their logo is shit. Someone just hit Ctrl + I and typed “Sinn” on the computer.

    Anyone who comes to Reddit for affirmation on buying a Sinn should just buy a G Shock. You’ll get the same amount of kudos on here while saving $800.
