Just got offered a black overseas chrono at retail (what I assume is retail. 285k HKD or roughly 36k USD)

I left my name there about 2 years ago for the oversea chrono either white or black face when I purchased another model.

Finally got the call today and I’m not sure how I feel about it. It’s one of the ones that I’m after and my impression was always that the overseas was basically the most sought after and hard to get at VC. Comparable to a royal oak chrono at AP or a Daytona at rolex.

Has something changed? Or am I just really lucky?

Appreciate the advice!

I’m not really into a market for these, but if I recall correctly VC Overseas was the readily available in the pre-pandemic years and wasn’t really sought after like Royal Oak and Nautilus was. It was only during the pandemic watch hype that Overseas became popular alternative to the Royal Oak and Nautilus. But with watch hype dying down I think things are becoming more available in general for all the hype watches and things are returning back to pre-pandemic normal.
