I put my eyeliner on before my mascara. I have not been able to find a single eyeliner (liquid, pencil, etc) that does not stick to my lash curler. *I have been letting it dry for a bit before I try to curl my lashes. I use eye shadow with a very thin brush to put eyeliner on now. I don’t mind it but sometimes it gets on my cheeks, smears more throughout the day… I just would much rather use actual eyeliner. I’ve tried numerous brands and have yet to find anything. Any suggestions?

Try using eyeliner and then applying eyeshadow and/or setting powder with a thin brush on top of the eyeliner to set it in place

I’ve always had this same problem. If you set the liner with a powder (either face powder or a matching shadow color) that will usually help tremendously!

I always thought the powder would cover the black (or at least dull it) so I never tried it before. But I’ll have to try that next time. Thanks!

Is it that the liquid eyeliner has gotten on your lashes and is sticking? I always make sure to run my lashes through my fingernails to pull off any of my liquid liner before it dries.

I don’t use a curler, but maybe put on the eyeliner after? That would be the most logical solution. If you need a very dark smudge proof eyeliner, Anastasia’s pot liner is great for that. You do need to have decent skills with applying it though as it is in cream form and a small brush is required. I find it more challenging to apply than felt tip eye liner, but it stays on better.
