I love being experimental with my makeup. I’ll do a look, feel really confident in it, and want to share it with my friends. However, my makeup always looks like absolutely garbage in pictures. It really kills my confidence. Sometimes I think I’m just delusional. Like, does my makeup look bad in person as well and I’ve just tricked myself into thinking it doesn’t? Is there a certain way to capture makeup looks so they actually look good?
I’ve been wondering this too! I think i’ve come to the conclusion that it’s just the phones camera quality is TOO good. i’ve asked many people and they say my pictures that aren’t edited/filtered look nothing like me. My skin looks dry, flakey, gray, you can see every pore, every little peach fuzz…I can’t use the camera on my actual phone because it makes me feel horrible. I use the snapchat selfie camera with a filter and honestly feel that’s much more accurate
