Wanted to start a discussion on this as I recently bought a Cidoo V21 numpad. I have a Keychron K6 bought 2 years ago. So, not the pro version.

Cidoo V21 - Stock, Linear switches

Keychron K6 - Stock, Gat Red Linear Switches

Both felt and sounded very different and using them together felt weird so I bought new XDA Profile keycaps and Akko Lavender Purple V3 switches. Installed both and they still feel and sound very different.

Cidoo V21 - Soft sound, a little click/clacky, a softer/ gentler feel

K6 - Thocky and loud. a very firm and hard feel on the rebound

Have keyboards advanced so much in 2 years and if I mod my K6, will it feel the same as the V21?

I had thought that Keychron was a better brand than Cidoo, though it is admittedly older.

Looking forward to hearing from others’ experiences

gasket mounted boards are currently popular which gives a softer feeling when typing.
