Looking to purchase a watch for around 8k for myself. Currently looking at these 4 primarily but can’t decide. I am open to suggestion for other watches around 8k or below. Please let me know if any of these watches should be avoided for a specific reason. I am not really looking g to resell the watch later on so price retention or premium isn’t a concern for me. Thank you.

The Omega is probably the best build quality. The Santos is the most iconic design.

I own the Omega, so this would be my recommendation as well. It works for almost every occasion, except black tie events.

If you go omega, make sure you go to an AD, not a boutique. Boutiques refuse to budge on price, and omegas can still be had safely below rrp

I own both. And I don’t think the Omega is any better or worse than the Santos.

Robust, yes but robust doesn’t equal better.

Theyre pretty comparable, but if anything I’d give the better build edge to the Santos.

The Santos shows every scratch and ding, in my experience.

The best question to ask is, what kind of watch owner are you?

If you are delicate and protective, the Santos is amazing. If you can’t help but wack everything in arms reach, get something more sporty, like the Omega or a Tudor Black Bay or Rolex Submariner.

If you’ll use a chronograph, get a chronograph, otherwise don’t, this is just another part of the movement that can easily break if not properly maintained. Heck, I’ve seen idiots mess up their chronograph by jamming on all the buttons when the watch wasn’t hacked.
