They always form where the biggest toe is.

I like this type of sneakers, and I want to continue wearing them but I don’t know how to prevent them from forming those holes.

    As someone who trims their toenails and doesn’t wear down socks, but has worn through a few pairs of shoes like this, long toenails is not necessarily the only thing going on here.

    It could be OP’s gait, as I’ve noticed I tend to lift my toes against shoes throughout my walking pattern, and since the big toe naturally raises the highest, it puts the most stress on that area.
