I found this watch in my grandma‘s basement. My deceased grandpa was a big watch collector during his lifetime and he amassed quite a large collection of watches and watch-related items, tools, and paraphernalia. The Hans Wilsdorf foundation went and asked to look at some items at their house (as my grandpa has actually possessed some papers/sketches on the development of some early Rolex watches). Needless to say, there was quite a lot of niche things that my grandma and parents couldn’t quite place after he passed away a few decades ago. The collection was mostly left alone until recently, where we started unearthing the little watches he had. Nothing super fancy, but lovely little pieces with character. I was quite happy to find so many vintage pieces. Besides, I have been looking for a Universal Geneve for a long time. Was very stoked to find a Polerouter!
