As an East Asian, if you’re not doing it to come across as Asian it’s fine? But if you’re doing it to cosplay like an anime character in everyday life that does cross some line and will make me judge you. Not as in a “she’s not allowed way”, but as an “ew she’s one of those weird white people that fetishize my culture. Avoid!”
Btw, pretty sure Gyaru style was used for Japanese people to look kinda Western in a time that was less political than now so it’s funny how the trends cycle around btw.
