So I hate matte with a passion. I have always disliked matte texture on myself and it was a big thing during my teenage years, you could not escape matte lipstick back then.
Even now a lot of cream lipsticks are some kind of matte. I love the old fashioned cream lipsticks from back in the day (50s-2000s) that were JUST cream in texture. Does anyone have any good recommendations for some?
- I like Revlon Super Lustrous and I wear Spiced Petal by Flower and that says it’s a cream
- If you’re looking for a glam treat in gorgeous packaging, YSL Rouge pur Couture “The Bold” line lipsticks are super creamy and long-lasting.
- MAC Amplified Lipsticks or their Creamsheens are really luxuriously creamy, smell good, long-lasting and pretty.
- Chanel. Gabrielle.
- I’ve been using Essence Caring Shine 203 My Advice. Very comfortable on the lips, keeps them hydrated, smells awesome (vanilla like) and very affordable.
- Bobbi Brown crushed oil lipstick - I have 8 of them and they’re so plushy and comfortable. It’s the perfect combo of lip balm and classic lipstick. Colors are so beautiful in real life. I can’t stand matt lipstick either. When I found the Bobbi Brown ones, went a little overboard and got a bunch of colors lol. Think they’re a sale going on now, too.
- Chanel!
- Came here so stoked to see other people hated my ex Matt, too! Then saw it was about lipstick lol. Loreal does a good cream lipstick that has good pigment. Avoid Revlon - too sheer or doesn’t deposit enough color. YSL is a good 8/10. Also had good luck with Milani and NYX lipliners. ELF and Wet n Wild have good creme formulas. MAC, Clinique, Bobbi Brown and Lancome round out my favourite high-end brands.
- L’Oréal in the gold tube - they are the perfect amount of creaminess but stay on for a good amount of time!
