My wife and I have a business and we compete with other business North America. We should be winning a week trip to Hawaii. We will be going in February and I wanted to buy watch to commemorate winning the contest. Recently, I had been told that women’s brands like a Louis Vuitton or Jimmy Choo were pretty heavily discounted in Waikiki Beach, which is where we’re going and I was wondering if anybody had had a good experience buying a watch in Hawaii.

I’m some that’ll be a max of $1000 however ideally, it would be half that much. I just don’t want to go crazy on a Watch when I’m still getting a feel for exactly what my taste is and I’m fairly new to the hobby.

    From Hawaii.

All the major luxury brand stores in Hawaii are priced the same anywhere else in the US (tax might be cheaper?, ~4% sales tax). To my knowledge high end luxury branded stores never have discounts. You will not be able to walk into a LV store in Waikiki and get anything discounted. All the stores in Waikiki are going to feel the same as any other store in the US except you are kind of near the beach.

Buying a watch in Hawaii is the same as anywhere else in the US. What type of watch are you looking for btw? The watch stores in Waikiki are probably out of your price range since they are all luxury brands. Ala Moana Mall (biggest mall in Hawaii) probably has watches closer to your price range.
