So I’ve been wearing foundation for about a year now and I have trouble with knowing what makeup to buy in general. But I need help figuring out foundation. I have been using the Elf medium coverage foundation and the elf hydrating primer. I used to use IL makiage light foundation with the hydrating primer but my face would always peel. I switched to the elf one day and I liked it right away. I liked the coverage better and it made my face look so smooth. After wearing it more and more, it doesn’t work like it used it. It piles and peels. I wasn’t sure if it was because my primer is almost empty, and the bottom of the bottle isn’t as good or what. I went and bought new primer last night and i tried the blemish one and it was even worse. All of my foundation peeled horribly I had to wipe it all off. I’m confused bc my foundation and primer was the same brand but it was so bad it was very surprising. I would love suggestions of actually good foundation and primer. I’m willing to pay lots of money for it if it’s worth it. I just don’t know where to start. I have pale , combination skin. Consistent mild acne, but very dry. I also live in a desert unfortunately and my skin on my whole body has never gotten used to the dryness here. In case it matters: I use my hands instead of a brush or a sponge because it feels less drying to my face. Please let me know suggestions! <3
