With Mode’s Black Friday deals tomorrow, I think it is a decent chance to potentially pick up a keyboard from them. However, upon doing some research and digging, it seems like people here are saying a lot of the reviews on YouTube are heavily sponsored and marketed.
I am mainly looking for a good typing experience as opposed to having the best sound, as I type quite a lot daily. For those with experience with Mode keyboards, would you suggest me getting one, as opposed to a QWERTY (or similar) keyboard? I am also considering the QK100 (I know its a completely different layout and pretty hyped too).
TLDR: Am I “missing out” on anything if I get the QK100 instead of a Mode Envoy in terms of the typing experience. (I understand they are different layouts)
I found that Andy Nguyen’s Envoy review was quite accurate to my experience with the Envoy. Great aesthetic, good value for the price considering its in-stock and all the customisation options, but not as amazing as most keyboard reviewers would have you think.
There are some noticeable inconsistencies in the sound in certain places for mine (believe Andy’s review delved into that too) although not a deal-breaker for me considering the price point. Typing feel was pretty good with both configurations though!
