Hey everyone, I’m a 28 yr old, who identifies as non binary. I really want to start properly exploring and experimenting with makeup. Unfortunately when I’ve asked my mum and sister to help, they have refused everything and I honestly have no idea where to begin. I’ve tried watching YouTube tutorials but just feel so overwhelmed and out of my depth, struggling to wrap my head around all the processes! Any advice on where to begin or what to do would be absolutely incredible, and I’d be forever appreciative.

Cheers

Product advice: find out your skin undertone (warm/cool/neutral). This will be so helpful in picking out any sort of makeup. Everything, from foundation to blush to eyeshadow to lipstick, will look so much better on your if you pick the right colors for your skin tone and undertone.

Technique advice: if the sheer amount of tutorials is overwhelming, I’d recommend watching any video from any big makeup youtuber titled along the lines of “full face of ELF makeup”, and just copy all the products and techniques they use. ELF is a pretty solid drugstore brand that will allow you to get started on a budget. And you will need to practice practice practice until you get better, then you can start blowing your money on higher end products lol.
