Hello,
Starting from 1 January 2024 i will not take anymore requests from new customers for custom USB/TRRS/Audio cables. I will still provide support and accept new build requests ONLY from customers that have ordered custom cables/keyboards before 1 January 2024.

Why ? Many reasons, but some of them: over saturated market, time consuming to build, impatient people. This decision will free about 50% of my time and i’ll just focus on split/ergo keyboards and related good quality products. This way lowering the turnaround time for the keyboard builds/packaging/shipping etc.

I started providing custom cable builds for mechanical keyboards community in March of 2018, meaning that i almost 6 years have built them every week, never closing the store for one day. I provided more than 100 Paracord colors schemes and about 15 Techflex colors, combining them creating some of the most unique patterns out there. Yes, you had to wait, sometimes, a few months, but everyone received their unique custom handmade quality build, that i made to hopefully last a long time. I NEVER sacrificed the quality of the build, just to make it quicker. I always am/was and tried to be as transparent as possible about waiting times. Since 2018, i have build a really large quantity of custom usb/trrs cables, mouse cables and many audio cables that i am really proud of.

I’ve met in the MK hobby tons of amazing people, through the service i provided. An imperceptible number of shitty too. I have learned a lot: Managing a single person business/e-commerce online store, Customer Support, User/Consumer psychology, Quality Control, Building/Testing products, Stock and Time management, Marketing and Social Media, Photography/Video editing, etc. There are still many many things to learn and improve, it’s a continuous life process.

I have to thank everyone who supported me through this years and continuously still do. I am just one guy who you never met and at some point for some reason you decided to trust. That’s magic. My appreciation is just undescriptive.

    People bring their big box customer is always right mentality everywhere. It’s infuriating.

    Just had someone complain on Etsy about a short shelf life’d consumable being off 12 months after they bought it. If a refund gets issued I’m closing the store.

    Understandable, really.

    Much as this is a hobby that teaches patience… a few months for just a cable does seem a bit long. I’m not surprised some folks get impatient and it’s not leading to a fun time for everyone. At some point it’s better to refocus rather than annoy the customer with endless waits.

    oh i’d absolutely love a custom cable for a build i’m doing (in the far future when it arrives lol) so going to check your site out tomorrow! i hope this post brings some more new customers your way for the other offerings too.
