I’ve built my girlfriend a keyboard for Christmas and am looking to wrap it and get it under the tree, but the packaging I’m going to use causes the whole bottom row of keys to be pressed down. If I leave it in this packaging with these keys pressed for ~3 weeks, will this cause damage to these switches?

it might damage the springs after a very very long time but there should be no problem

I could but I’d like the use the packaging the board came in, and one I added the switches and keycaps it became just barely too tall to fit properly.

I made my sister a keyboard with Kailh Mute Jade’s (so regular switches) and they’re still a bit janky after storing it in a cramped box that pressed the keys down. I felt quite bad after that but she doesn’t seem to mind too much.

I don’t know about actuated switches but I wouldn’t recommend it.

Put the new keyboard on top of its original packaging and then either put all of that in a new box or wrap it together.
