Walking through Soho recently, I noticed the Onitsuka Tiger store was closed down. It hit me hard because I’ve really come to love their shoes—they’re the perfect combo of comfort and style, and I just can’t get enough of them.
To make things worse, a friend of a friend who works in corporate there mentioned that Onitsuka Tiger might be closing down their entire US operations. I tried to find some information online but came up short. I’m hoping it’s just a rumor because it would be a huge loss.
However, they haven’t updated their Instagram since mid October.
Does anyone have the scoop on this? Any bit of news would be helpful. Fingers crossed that we’re not losing this brand here.
I think their Soho store closed down years ago. I used to visit it whenever I was in NYC then a few years ago it was gone.
Would be sad if they went out of the US market. They make great casual shoes.
