yo I have seen some sellers (mostly Japan) on ebay and Chrono sell watches for slightly cheaper than others.
I am currently looking to buy a watch under 300 usd that is medium size (around 38 mm) and has at least 5 atm water resistance.
I am scared to buy something that will turn out to be fake or Frankenstein’d.
Opinions? Recommendations?
I have bought multiple watches from Japanese sellers on Chrono24 and never had an issue. They’re often cheaper because the Yen is weak right now and Japan has a huge culture of resale so there is a lot of supply of used watches. However, on more expensive watches you may have to pay several hundred dollars in import taxes but it sounds like the watches you’re looking at are all under the price point where that is an issue.
How much were the watches that you paid several hundreds dollars of import taxes?
Watch import duties are complicate so curious how they valued the watch by component.
