I noticed that in lots of candid photos (and even in watch review videos), tritium tube watches will seem dim and uneven to the point where they look kind of crappy. Digital/phone cameras can’t seem to catch the light tritium puts out correctly- they aren’t as good at seeing it as your eyes are. When I like a watch I always look online for candid pictures of people wearing it so I can see what the watch looks like outside of photoshopped promo pictures, but for tritium watches that doesn’t work very well. So for anyone wondering, with the brightness of my Pixel phone set at about 40% (so I don’t blow my eyes out in the dark) this is what the tritium tubes in a Deep Blue watch will look like when the watch is actually on your wrist. A lot of companies get the tubes from the same place, so it’s probably a good standard.
