    Not only does the Grand Seiko look better, but you better factor that 1700 into your repair costs because 10 years or so in and that Omega might cost you 1700 to keep on ticking

    If you want a Grand Seiko, it has to be Spring Drive or Mechanical, not the Quartz. There’s nothing that special about that would make me want it more than the others.

    The Omega, on the other hand, is lovely, but simply not in that condition. I would try and get one with a better dial.

    Or why not go for a vintage King Seiko or Grand Seiko?

    That’s just my opinion.
