    It seems you want a simple clean silhouette. In my opinion it’s not worth doing. The shoe itself is unique and has character the way it is. Plus that extra piece of plastic serves as protection for skateboarding.

    However I understand you want to customize and change glthe appearance to your liking. I’ve done modifications on my own shoes as well including removing plastic trim or adding custom paint. My suggestion is to just use a flat razor blade and slice that section off. Then scrape any excess glue that was underneath it. It should all be simple and shouldn’t take more than 5 minutes at most.
