I am 71 but do NOT have dry skin. My face and scalp are quite oily, as in I shampoo every day and still use an astringent. As you’d expect, I have large pores. Looking for advice -

  1. Under eye concealer - this is the only part of my face I moisturize as that area has no oil glands. It’s looking crepey these days.
  2. A powder foundation for when I don’t feel like doing the whole thing, just take she shine off before going to the gym, etc.
  3. An everyday foundation that does blur the pores and discolorations. I’ve tended to use low to mid price products because I’m reluctant to spent too much and not like the product, which has happened before. Appreciate your advice.

Hot water and a wash cloth and/or mild astringent. Eye area and upper lip moisturizer only. I know that sounds absurd but trust me - my skin is oily. I’m sagging at this age but I’m not wrinkled. I’m of Nordic/UK heritage. Sunscreen a must. Still need to keep the zit cream handy. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I recommend following one of the more mature YouTube beauty content creators like Angie from Hot & Flashy. There are many others as well, some of them in their 60’s & up. I am in my mid-50’s but I’ve found SO many great tips and MU recommendations via these channels.

Here are a couple of my favorites

    • Flower beauty serum concealer
    • Maybelline superstay powder foundation (not very matte but it does add some coverage and looks natural, not powdery)
    • The brand new revlon skin tint (in a tiny tube) has quickly become my favorite everyday foundation. It has a skin-like finish, adds some coverage but is still a bit sheer and natural looking.
