Title. I’m looking to buy my first watch with a budget around $500. I’d like a watch I could wear everyday that goes well with most outfits. Preferably metal band that isn’t after market because I don’t really understand how that all works. I know this question has been asked already but the posts and things I can find online are dated. Seems the market fluctuated a bit, just looking for opinions!

Thanks everyone.

If you are new to watches, make sure you understand the difference between a quartz watch and an automatic (mechanical). A good video talking about the strengths and weaknesses of each

You might consider a Casio Oceanus OCW-S100-1AJF Solar powered quartz, with a scratch resistant Sapphire lens. 100m water resistance so it’s safe for pool or shower. Atomic radio controlled, so it automatically connects with an atomic clock, so it is always 100% accurate and sets itself for daylight savings time.
