Yeah …. that is (arguably) understandable given these never released and there was only a handful sold pre-release cancellation in Mx. since there wasn’t a flood of new stock or found stock to dilute the hyper-valuation of that sale it’s odd there’s a pair was selling for 1.6K.

The last pair that sold for the 27K was Kiley Jenner who bought the shoes off of stock X for her sister Kendal Jenner after Nike was sent a cease and desist letter because they didn’t have permission from the IP holder of Nightmare on Elm Street - hence why they were scrapped from production - the shoes that escaped were samples that the designers of the shoes had sneaked out/or had for further design process. There’s a YouTube video of the guy who made the sale and walked the shoes to stock x because he didn’t trust the mail carriers…

Lots of misinformation here about this shoe on here. The shoe was never released or even sold at stores. IF any store got a pair it was back doored immediately. Any produced outside of samples were destroyed. Reebok actually had the New Line Cinema, which included Nightmare on Elm St, deal for shoes/clothing when this shoe was about to release, so yes it was canceled over IP rights. Reebok made Freddy Alien Stompers. So to avoid 2 parties ganging up on Nike, these got scraped.

Now the Wes Craven estate owns this version of Freddy & isn’t giving it up to anyone. Nike did release a Freddy AM95 a few years back only over seas to avoid legal action. Issues like this has happened before with Nike & Universal owning Back To The Future, Marvel, Van Halen, etc.

The crazy bickering & stories about this shoe I helped settle decades ago when Nike-sb.org was a thing.

Nike is so brain dead for not doing a retro of this shoe. Everyone loves them, everyone wants them, and everyone gets hyped for Halloween kicks. They could sell a million pairs of these with ease.
