I go through phases with watches for sure. You could explore tinkering? I bought some tools and some practice movements and had some fun taking them apart and putting them back together. Eventually would like to do some restoration stuff.

Funny you mentioned comex, that’s what came to mind almost immediately for me. Probably because of talking watches!
I always like to leave things as original as possible when I have my watches serviced, to me there’s a certain charm in having everything be the same as when you got it. Unless there’s something about the wear that could affect the movement, I say leave as is!
