Geneva is the center for Swiss watchmaking and manufacturers back then slap the term “Genève” to capitalize on Swiss watchmaking even though they’re not manufacturing Swiss watches. So yeah, it’s just an old quartz that’s not very valuable. The term “Genève” is now a protected designation so manufacturers cannot do what they did in the past.
