If you’re not sure what kind of brushes she likes, it’s probably better to get her a gift certificate to somewhere like Ulta or Sephora and encourage her to pick out some brushes she likes. Makeup brushes are tools, like wrenches or screwdrivers. It’s hard to know what wrenches someone needs if you don’t know what they’ve got already and what kind of work they’re doing.

ColourPop’s Magnetic Moon shadow from the Stone Cold Fox palette is the shiniest, most user-friendly metallic silver eyeshadow I’ve ever seen. Just amazing. It’s more reflective metallic than glitter, per se. But it’s very shiny and cool.

Colourpop is such good value. My only beef with CP is their coarsely milled sparkle shadows which start flaking out of the pans during shipping and making a mess in the palette.
