Ulta and Sephora will absolutely make you samples, as will any counter at Nordstrom.
Go to Ulta, find a salesperson, and ask for help finding the right product and shade for you. They carry a broad range of brands at all price points – think everything from Chanel cosmetics to Elf or Maybelline, so you’ll have plenty of options. If you’re unsure which to buy, ask for a few samples to test at home. Or, you can always return the product it if you end up hating it.
Also, let them know you’re a beginner and need tips on application technique – their staff is generally super helpful and happy to assist.
Good luck and have fun!!
You’re supposed to use it damp. Be sure to read all the product instructions - if you use it dry, it’s going to soak up your product rather than blend it on your face.
