The way I see it, sneakers are a coveted piece that speaks to your personality. If you’re throwing fits together with a fake shoe, trying to pass them off as authentic, that’s wack to me.
That being said, I took a bet on a pair of mars yard 2.0s, complete with box and accessories, from a consignment shop. They looked and felt good, but they turned out to be fake. Because of this, I basically never wear them. If I do, it’s to the dog park or as just a random beater pair. But you’ll never see a fit pic of me in them. It feels wrong when other great shoes are accessible.
My advice is to stay on the lookout for an upcoming shoe that wows you, then go after that. Getting a great pair at retail (or cheaper) feels way better than fake-flexing Travis 1s.
For sure.
I was told I was getting the Bodegas as a birthday present, but they never came and a couple days after my birthday they’re sold out after sitting for weeks. Bummed about it.
