11 months agoebay is so clutch with picking up worn but under retail shoes. have had a lot of success going that route on ebay.

i’ve got 41 currently. i keep track of them with a spreadsheet including the last time i’ve worn them, because i like to wear all of my shoes and i don’t want to forget about a pair. if i wear every shoe once, and then it goes to the back of the line, i am getting ~8 wears per shoe per year. feels like a good number of wears per year without wearing them out. there are of course some sneakers i only wear when i know the weather will be perfect, some sneakers i wear when it’s raining, some sneakers i can’t wear to work, etc. which skews the numbers some.
ideally i’d have 30-35, but i’m pretty happy with the 41 in my closet.
