Lol Human Fund: “Money Shoes For People”

Lol yes! When I first saw the phrase, I thought it was funny to see a community come up with a new way to say you’re just wearing these shoes for the first time.

It’s interesting to see the disconnect between the people who view sneakers as just shoes they wear and the people who view sneakers as a part of their fashion or the people who are interested in how/why the shoe was made the way it was. Granted, the manufacturing thing for the major brands isn’t usually interesting, I’m just providing another example of what to think of beyond “shoes for human feet”.

I feel like there’s plenty to discuss about design, functionality, how the materials handle aging over time, how to store/organize them, how to properly clean special materials, what lace colours would be cool to swap with, etc.

There’s plenty more to say about most shoes beyond just “fire” and “trash”, you just have to put in a little more effort into the thought by giving a little detail as to why. It doesn’t have to be an essay either, it’s as simple as “🔥 because the red really pops” or “🗑 because those colours aren’t working together” instead of just posting the emojis or just saying fire/trash.

Those are dope. I really enjoy the feel of the pair I got, I wish there were more colourways I like, so far there haven’t been a whole lot.

I really enjoy my huaraches and have been eyeing some of the air flight colourways. If you (or anyone reading this) has both the regular and air flight huaraches, does the air flight just feel like it looks, like a high top huarache?

It depends on the season, I like huaraches and ultraboosts the most for warmer months, but I stick with leather boots or this sneaker/boot hybrid from Adidas for colder months, mostly because it typically rains or is generally more damp and dirty than the warmer seasons

I like mine how they came originally but you can’t deny the black swoosh and laces look great
