I’ve heard that these retailers take about 50% of the MSRP. Is that true? And is it the same across categories (like skincare, fragrances, color cosmetics, etc.)? Is it the same across price range (drugstore vs luxury)? When there is a sale of 50% for a product at Sephora/Ulta, what is the breakdown of the cost? Like do they go 50:50 on the discount?
