I just got into the brand and love it! What are some of their best products and what are products to avoid?
Their hydrating concealer is very good for under the eyes. That’s the only product I use from ELF anymore. Everything else is generally subpar compared to other options.
The primer putty is really good. Feels great on the skin.
I seen that they have lip oils now? Has anyone tried them?
Wowbrow brow gel
Their brushes
Their highlighter wands
Primers
Coconut dewy setting spray
Lip exfoliators
Halo glow setting powder
Also don’t sleep on their skincare. The formulations aren’t the best but they have really good ingredients that you only see in more expensive skincare
halo glow , cleansing balm, and their new liquid blushes (the CT dupe ones) i LOVE
I like a lot of their skincare
Me too! I recently got into their skincare line. I started a “true” skincare routine (7-step morning and night lol) and didn’t want to get super expensive products out of the gate in case I didn’t stick with it, so I got mostly ELF products and a couple from Mario Badescu. I can’t say I’ll ever switch to more expensive products!! My skin has never looked or felt better.
Can you share your routine? Or post about it on skincare addiction and share the post! :)
Happy to! But I’ll add the disclaimer that this is just something I’ve developed from researching a bunch online. I’m sure I don’t need all the steps or some of the products might be repetitive, but it works for me and I’ve come to love the ritual just as much as the effect it’s had on my skin, so here we are!
Morning:
- Cleanser: I usually skip this step and just use water on my face in the morning, but if I do want to wash, I’ll use something gentle like the SheaMoisture Coconut Oil Facewash
- Toner: elf Pure Skin Toner
- Serum: elf Vitamin C Serum
- Eye Cream: Mario Badescu Caffeine Eye Cream
- Spot Treatment: I only do this step if I need it, but I use the Mario Badescu Drying Patches
- Moisturizer: elf Pure Skin Moisturizer
- Face Oil: elf SuperNourish Facial Oil
- Sunscreen: elf Suntouchable! Whoa Glow SPF 30 (I loved the Supergoop Glowscreen but had trouble justifying the price tag. elf’s version is just as good if not better - in my opinion!)
Night
- Cleanser: without a doubt, SheaMoisture’s African Black Soap Foaming Facial Wash (this is what got me into skincare and I think it might be my holy grail product), but twice a week I will use their African Black Soap Facial Wash & Scrub
- Serum: elf Holy Hydration! Triple Bounce Serum
- Eye Cream: Mario Badescu Chamomile Eye Cream
- Spot Treatment: again, only do this step if I need it, but I use the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion
- Moisturizer: elf Happy Hydration Cream
- Retinol: I don’t do this step every night, but maybe 2-3 times per week and I use Drunk Elephant A-Passioni Retinol Cream
- Face Oil: elf All the Feels Facial Oil
That African Black Soap is AMAZING!! I often use the body wash and it helps with the KP on my arms and legs!
The Elf makeup cleansing balm performs just as good or better than high end ones (i.e., Farmacy)
Love this!
The dupe I needed!!
Does anyone have any opinions on the suntouchable setting spray? Is it good or nah?
I love their primers!!!
Their cleansing balm is wickedly good
The colour correctors, lip lacquer, halo glow, putty blushes and bronzers, bite size eyeshadows, sheer slick lipsticks, hydrating core lip shine, cookies and cream lip scrub, holy hydration moisturiser, pure skin toner, jelly pop primer and lip mask- the list is too long lol.
Lip stain and cleansing balm are my favorites currently
I like the bite size eyeshadow palettes, I don’t have a ton of room for eyeshadow and the colours in the “carnival candy”(not the blue) and “cream and sugar” look really nice on me and are very soft and blend well.
Their brushes. Love their brushes. I haven’t bought any recently, I keep brushes until they can’t handle one more cleaning. I remember when they were $1 each, I would buy handfuls.
power grip primer, eyebrow pencils, liquid eyeliner, halo glow setting powder
