Mid-30s, caucasian woman here. I wear subtle eye shadow, concealer around my eyes, foundation on my face, black mascara, and lip gloss.
Sure it’s simple, but when I’m in my bathroom mirror, by face looks very applied with makeup.
A few feet away in a full-body, mirror, though, it looks like I haven’t spent a minute applying it.
What gives?
Your routine sounds like a very minimal “no-makeup makeup look” so I’m not surprised it doesn’t show from a distance. Also bathroom lighting is usually bad for assessing makeup (often dim and fluorescent), unless it has a window to allow lots of natural light.
